That's all fine and well.
But Ron Paul is no Ronald Reagan. Paul is an isolationist/non-interventionalist; Reagan was a Cold War warrior! |

Reagan believed in a balanced budget, and had Congress adhered to his proposed budgets, we would have had a balanced budget as early as 1985. Unfortunately, they spent more money 7 out of 8 years.
In the end, Reagan had a choice between cutting SS or raising taxes--he opted for neither, it was a conscious decision, and although I think he should have cut SS, he didn't want to alienate his peers who were dependent upon it. |

A member of the World Federalist Party at one time, he seemed to maintain some of there beliefs:"Our goals are those of the U.N.'s founders, who sought to replace a world at war with one where the rule of law would prevail, where human rights were honored, where development would blossom, where conflict would give way to freedom from violence". - President Ronald ReaganReagan was anti U.N.? Reagan was a Conservative? According to Reagans' own words he was an advocate of the same goals as the founders of the U.N., which were, among other things, World Gov. Ronald Reagan was Phony. a Neo Con Internationalist/Interventionalist Leftist. Fucking Clown. |
