Reply with quote | #1 | Amsterdam, I see you lurking?
What do you think he will do?
Retire? Rematch Hopkins? Face Dawson?

Reply with quote | #2 | Good question. If I had to wager a bet I'd say he retires and goes out on top. Max Kellerman (for the prick that he is) made a good point i.e., if he retires after the performance he put on Saturday night, regardless of whether or not rematches should be granted, or that a perceived looming young American threat on the horizon awaits a crack at it, that his 'legend' would only grow as does Lennox Lewis' over time. __________________ '97 fight of the year

Agreed. Nobody could blame Calzaghe if he decides to retire. He had an outstanding career, capped off by impressive wins against two future Hall of Fame fighters.
If he DOES fight, I hope it's Hopkins and not Dawson, but am interested to see what happens.

Reply with quote | #5 | $$$$$$ talks....I am sure he could use another big pay day. Hell....Lennox is lacing them up again and he sure as fuck is better off than Calz.
Maybe the Mo will jump a few weight classes and get clobbered for $20 mill? __________________ 'I have come here to kick ass and chew bubblegum...I'm all out of bubblegum.' |
